a short story about how it feels when nobody cares.
The spaceship I've created,
Was beautifully gold-plated,
But somewhere down the line,
The star I flew to faded.
And though fuel's burning violent,
My systems have gone silent.
And though I've tried to quit,
The captain never leaves their ship.
Outside's all cold empty space,
But inside there's a lone sad mess.
I wish I was right back at base,
But I can't look them in the face.

while the spaceship is a metaphor, I did try to make the vocals sound like an astronaut!
