In 2023, another artist I follow, 3xBlast, challenged themself to put out one vocaloid original a month for a year. Their work improved with each release, and now they're doing really well for themself! I'm trying to improve too, so why not try out the same challenge?

I had the idea for this song way back in July, but had a hard time making progress on it. You'll never guess why! I had part of a melody line written in September, but then this just kinda sat on my desktop until I decided to do the monthly challenge. I wanted to get it done for January, but I got writing blocked again, and got sick too.

Once I finally finished this one I absolutely loved it, and decided to try my hand at a music video again! Check it out! I'm super happy with it, I hope you all enjoy it too!

In front of me lies a blank page and a pen

that I can use to bring my dreams to life.

I have all the tools to make just anything-

I don't know what to write!

I’ll try to relax for an hour or two

I wish i could make something half good as that

but when i try my passion goes away!

It’s been half a day now, I'm trying again

to find the strength to pick up my pen.

I’ll do all the parts that I like the best first

fill them with all the cool details I can,

but when I go back, to go fill in the gaps,

it seems I always get stuck again!

I love what I do so this should be a breeze,

but with no plan my efforts are useless.

The planning makes me want to pull out my hair

because it’s all so tedious!

Victory, just out of reach,

there’s always one last detail that’s missing from my art.

Without that glue the entire project

falls apart!
