Yeah I got the heads up after announcing we had cancelled our April Fools plan, this was a great alternative!
God save the Clock Crew!
Feel a bit dumb for not getting into this band sooner.
Y’all had no idea back in 2007
The implication I want your trust disgusts me
I don’t even know who they are.
New 52 Superman has started to get on my nerves. It’s feels so cold and professional. He looks more like some one who would charge me a ticket for jay walking than someone who would save my life.the collar’s really what kills it for me.
Ok, hear me out...
I actually love the Mr. Knight design. I like the juxtaposition of the suit and the mask. I also like the subtle details on the show’s version of the suit. But why did they add that weird seam for the show? It just looks like extra effort to make the design look less like something someone would actually wear, only to have an actual person wear it.
Buying Twitter is just a horrible way to spend 44 Billion dollars.
Yeah, I said it.
just a thing I drew to burn some stress. Anyone have any ideas I haven’t considered?
Actually, I have a better “hate” style. The art of Torso, written AND drawn by Brian Michael Bendis of all people.to elaborate why I dislike it so much. The above image is a two page spread. You have to physically turn the book around in your hand just to follow the story.
The book is also riddled with copy pasted panels with little to no variation in order to justify lengthy dialogue. Sloppy speech balloons, stems sometimes on the verge of devouring the actual balloon itself. Jarring integration of photography for backgrounds, objects of interest, people/characters, entire scenes/2 page spreads.
It’s was released in the 90’s so I’m guessing the tools used were just kinda experimental at the time.
That doesn’t justify forcing the reader to physically turn the book, though.
one of the reviews on the back of the book called it “the future of comic storytelling” or something like that. I just want to talk to that reviewer.

Children with a completely different taste in music and a mouth.
Y’all thought your peers were brutal to you back in middle/high school, wait until you’re raising a teenager.

Rather disappointed by:

I’m not sure if Darkhorse counts as “indie,” but here’s something fun I found:
Anyway, here’s an attempt at using what Scott McCloud dubbed “trails.”

Also, I was curious about how people were doing NFTs. After looking at what some people were doing, I just thought it would be better to just do something on my own server for it. Some of what I have seen looks shady and I would not trust them to do what they say.
I also was curious why NG had not got into any of that? Since they have been hosting stuff for maybe almost a few decades. Seems like they could be reputable hosts for such things.
There were others things I was also checking out about other sites and platforms. There are other sites that seem to have their sales set up easy with some integration with other areas, such as crowdfunding. Being able to host additional files and file types for crowdfunding perks, offering limited access that is tracked. Things like that.
It's a shame too, I don't know if some of these other sites have been around longer than NG.
I was poking around but I would be curious what others thought about that end of it. As far as publishing goes.
Not even two days...
I’ve been seeing a lot of comic related threads come and go at a quick rate lately. I think it may be time for a main thread.
