Lets see...

Blasphemous 1 and 2

Eastward

Crosscode

Pizza Tower

AntonBlast

Gravity Circut

Inconoclasts

Crossing Souls

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. There are probably some more I could think of.

I'd have to agree with the confidence part in regards to form.

It's never a bad thing to focus on the fundamentals and get that practice in with anatomy. In your situation I think that you have a really good sense of style in your work. Which is a good thing! At the same time there's nothing wrong with honing in on the basics of form, proportions and anatomy going through the process of mastery and practicing those things because then at a certain point, much of the fundamentals will become second nature to you.

Also... if later down the road you feel more confident with the figure of a person and really want to start experimenting with the technical stuff and getting into stylized work... I'd recommend doing some abstract artwork and experimenting with the other side of the fundamentals involving line, shape, perspective, etc.

There's a reason why I say that because if you can exercise both your skills in representational work and abstract work then you could potentially go nuts at another point in mastery of your own skill and start being able to play around and develop one hell of a strong style.

You can see and enable the M filter? That's interesting! I thought it appeared only when the account turns 17

This feature only applies to A rated content once account's age turns 18, if I'm not mistaken.

it doesn’t really matter if it’s well made or not. It makes me uncomfortable. Besides, one 0 star rating wont hurt an entire project. But you’ve gotta put it in my shoes because you’re an adult and I’m a minor. My point is that why would I rate highly something that makes me uncomfortable? Why would I like something that makes me uncomfortable?

i agree with not rating high with submissions that make you uncomfortable, but you should NEVER rate 0 or 1. these are blams, and basically can get the video unfairly sent to the obituaries which is something we dont do (obviously, unless the video itself is animated like dogshit then go wild). rate it a 2 at best and if the M rated videos really get under your skin, theres no other choice but to just disable M rated videos using the filter.

unfortunately (or fortunately for those who l ike to spank the monkey sometimes), the site isnt gonna declare an all-time war against suggestive videos because in the end the site was always meant to be edgy, something something, just basically not kid-friendly (basically youtube but everyone here is sane, well most people). and the fact this site is made up of 50% people over 18, 25% edgelords, 25% toddlers who chew on bricks and get their movies blamm ed

While there is nothing inherently wrong with blamming in of itself in context to what we're talking about here I'm assuming it comes down to the reason why we blam something.

Personally... if I'm going to blam something then my reasoning comes down to three things: Quality of the work, the methods and execution of creation, and the behavior and attitude of the creator.

Nothing about that involves the rating of said art, movie, game, song, etc. Just because someone decided to make jiggly-wiggly art with all the lovely moist bits doesn't make it a bad piece of we're talking on technical skill.

Here's a nuance that minors do not understand. If it bothers you so much and you have to bother adults about it in a room where its accepted, then are you really complaining because you are uncomfortable or are you just seeking attention after the fact that people offered you the most basic of all solutions by not looking at it and ignoring?

No one is obligated to listen to the people who are uncomfortable if all they're going to do is constantly complain about it in places where its socially acceptable to host adult content. Regardless of whom they are. Thats far different than someone going out of their way to make any one feel unconfortable via innapropriate communication.

At 4/7/25 03:08 AM, Jojo wrote:How are you even able to see A rated stuff if you are a minor?

To be fair, its not like there aren't users who innapropriately rate their content or do something to push the boundaries on what is acceptable in an M rating either.

At 4/6/25 03:16 PM, youtherthyf wrote:interesting you called it a "wii U situation" cause the more you look into it the more it seems nintendo are repeating the exact same things they did with the wii U

the wii was super successful cuz of it's accessibility to the general public(motion controls games are very easy to sell to a casual audience) and games despite having worse hardware and 3rd party support than the competition. then came it's "sequel" the WII U, with the wii's success giving nintendo the impression people will buy anything related to the wii at any cost, so it was over priced, upgrades the hardware slightly while barely fixing any issues, and being stuffed with useless "features" no one asked for with no plans on how they could be useful in games.

same cycle seems to be repeating it's self with the switch consoles. the og switch also sold well, a portable game device you can play on the go and even play with friends on is a super easy sell to the average person, has worse hardware than everyone else and 3rd parties barely run on it(indies not included). and now the switch 2 seems to make those exact same mistakes the Wii U did. most of the people i saw talk about it are not interested in the additional video camera or the mouse style movement(even if it seems interesting to me personally), and those features end up just pushing the price up.

also idk how much it will officially be in my country, but a nintendo switch 1 is between 10 to 20K so i dread to imagine but switch 2 will end up being :/

Well see this is the exact reason why I'm saying that what's going on with the Switch 2 isn't any different from the situation the Wii U was in.

It's not really differentiating itself all that much from the OG Switch. No I don't care if I get a Mario paint on the Nintendo Switch Online service because it happens to have mice or some video camera, it genuinely isn't doing anything to impress me beyond what the original was able to do. That was being both a portable and a home console.

Sure you get Mario Kart World and new Dong 3D game at launch but even then, being someone who cares more about Super I'd be more willing to buy the console if I found out they were doing a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe or something that outdoes Smash Ultimate. Otherwise why would I care? Its not like Mario Kart World hasn't done what Crash Team Racing additionally did with an open world and what previous Mario Karts have done.

It's just not enough for me to justify the cost, ultimately it's on the company to be able to impress the masses into buying a console with whatever titles they got and as of late, Nintendo hasn't really done that.

Alright, here's my submission!

Was rather easy to make!

Response to: Is having a simple design bad? Posted March 30th, 2025 in Animation

Your designs aren't overly simple in the sense where they are stick figures. There's enough complexity in the design to make it worth animating.

And that's the thing I'm sure has already been pointed out because when it comes to animation, simplicity in the designs are actually a good thing.

What I don't think has been mentioned that if you make the design too complex, no sane animator will like you unless you have the insanity that Akira Toriyama had or happen to be a 3D animator. Case in point:

iu_1376521_3993712.webp

No one wants to deal with an overly complex design and even in illustration or comic book making it's a massive pain in the fucking ass. More so with animating because now you're getting all those specific little details moving and you have to think EXACTLY HOW THOSE DETAILS MOVE IN 3D ON A 2D PLANE.

And who really in the right mind wants that?

Response to: Well, that wraps it up for the Nintendo Switch Posted March 29th, 2025 in Video Games

Honestly The gaming PC and how I feel that AAA gaming has went downhill for the past several years I just can't feel arsed to see how the consoles themselves are going to be drastically any different each release when gaming has pretty much hit a plateau.

Sure, Nintendo might have some really cool console with an awesome gimmick come post Switch 2, but right now if I'm being completely honest the Switch 2 is pulling a Wii U. The only thing that would might make it justified for purchase could be Smash Ultimate Deluxe or a brand new Smash that miraculously manages to top Smash Ultimate, but I figure that's going to be very difficult to do to feel like it will be worth doing so.

I've found it more of a better investment to have a gaming PC for numerous reasons, but having it means that I have access to Steam, Itch.io, and Emulation and I personally would rather take the time to invest in my retro gaming collection. If I bother getting a new console then at that point it would be better to assume that I have a kid of my own in the next couple of years... If I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to have one anyhow given how shitty things are in the world.

(I will add mine once I figure out what I want to draw with it.)

bro wtf is this website xDDDDDDDDDD

It’s a preservation of a lot of people’s childhoods! This was a real computer program back in the 90s that was installed on a lot of school computers.

And my nostalgia comes in when I reminisce over how I fought a teacher and threw a fit when I was in the 2nd grade because she wanted me to write instead of using Kidz Pix.

Unfortunately.... that was also the same day 9/11 happened. But I'd much rather remember how much I wanted to draw than to remember the rest of it if anything.

Gotta be the wildest “where were you on that day” story I’ve ever seen. Better make a 9/11 meme in KidPix to commemorate it. (And to piss off the types of people the “9/11sonas” Tumblr post is about.)

There's an idea

I mean even if they are just doodles that you are drawing every day then that in of itself is not a bad thing as long as you aren't forcing yourself to draw full blown illustrations everyday.
