I think the point is that youtube has A LOT MORE users, and videos take less time to make than animations or even flash/unity/whatever games good enough to earn enough money. So realistically, even though you won't be making a lot of money on youtube as a smaller creator, it's more than you'll be making here. As a small-time content-creator, of course.

Also, I have more than 10,000 views total here on NG (although I'm not even close to the "subscriber" count, but NG's system is a bit "different" even though they're the same) but I'm not close to cashing out. Not like it's a problem to me because that's not why I made the content I posted here. And like 90% of the money I've "earned" was from someone using one of my songs in a flash submission lmao, but that did generate a decent amount of money for the amount of views it received.
