Fortunaliy, we are in a universe that Warner cancel proyects, so, we glad that the series was cancelled.
But, some good proyects like Coyote vs. ACME was cancelled unfortunaliy, but we glad that Warner cancelled a bad series that never was launched.
I know right, but they still greenlight projects like Velma and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Everyone wants to forget that PPG reboot because of the animator's self-insert dating a 5-year-old. 😱
Or the girls twerking with a panda

To be fair the reboot is remember for the self insert and twerking scenes

Buttercup calling the OG cartoon "whitewashed" is a... spicy writing decision, to say the least. I'm not one of those wieners who feels personally attacked whenever new iteration shits on the original, but goddamn they were really stoking the beehive with that take.
The trailer should've focused on the Gangreen Gang, Him, the RowdyRuff Boys, Sedusa, Princess Morbux... There's a big enough roster of humanoid villains they could've gone with instead. Which asshat thought it'd be a good idea to make Mojo Jojo a human father-son duo but also Mojo dies offscreen...? This thing had to have been crap on purpose in order to be cancelled or turned into a tax writeoff lmao.
Also for what it's worth, if any of the powderpuffs were gonna grow up to be a bitchy neo/armchair feminist I expected it would've been Blossom not Buttercup.
CW's been making dogshit live action teen dramas loosely based on WB properties since Smallville. But does anyone actually watch them or are these execs just funding this slop haphazardly in hopes that one will inexplicably become a hit?
It was taken down unfortunately

There was a leaked pilot script if you're interested

That's one good thing come out of this pilot which is Tom Kenny returning as the narrator

Yes, actually. They've been cutting back on in-house animation in favor of outsourcing animation, which almost certainly has effected work on Shrek. That said, I think the new art style is probably just a result of a new creative direction. Animated movies have been moving in the direction of "vibrant and cartoon-y" for quite a while, and audiences and critics have been enjoying these new styles (e.g. Spiderverse, Puss In Boots 2). I think that they went a little too far with the saturation, but I'm personally okay with the new style. I can see why people don't like it, though, especially since it feels inconsistent with the grittiness of the previous films.
Exactly with The Wild Robot being the final film produced in-house

That could be excellent. That kid on the side is cute, and after all the crossdressing jokes through the series, an explicitly trans character would make sense.
That theme would explain the choice of memes in the teaser trailer. You know, with the body switching.
Problem is I doubt that's true. Fiona's eye color was changed, too. (Edit: Or were they? Might be the strange lighting effects in the trailer making them look darker.)
Plus it's not uncommon (in the US populations, anyhow) for blue-eyed babies to become solidly brown-eyed adults.
For the studios downsize, it is more or less that Dreamworks is now outsourcing its animation team since its in-house productions shut down.

By today's standards, the source material was never particularly creative, alot of the "assets" they used for the plot were public domain, not original at all, the same story very well could've been told b4, in ancient Greece. So, it's no loss, Warner Bros saved themselves a lot of money if they cancelled that game.
So what do you think about the studios that made two shadows of Mordor games shutting down since they were going to make the canceled wonder woman game?

$100 million dollars were allegedly put into a game that was in development for at least 4 years but there's no gameplay footage, no plot synopsis, not even a single screenshot... All they had to show for 4 years and $100 million was a few seconds of Wonder Woman slowly leaping into action?
Until we see something from the cutting room floor get leaked I'm just gonna call bullshit. WB's cancelled a few movies for the tax writeoff and I think they may have discovered that they can pull this same trick in their video games department too.
Knowing that they also shut both Player's First Games and WB San Diego, who knows if the rest of WB game divisions will make it to the rest of the 2020s

Anybody remember the "first wave" of Smash clones back in the late 2000's, around the Wii/PS3/360 era? WB made their own at the time which specifically revolved around popular Cartoon Network Studios characters from the '90's and 2000's. Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles had a Smash clone made by Ubisoft (the Rabbids even made a guest appearance in that game, no Rayman or characters people actually liked, though), and I think Ubisoft even had the gall to release that around the same time as when Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out. Heck, even Sony made their own Smash clone for PS3, and that was a particularly sad failure because critics at the time felt it failed due to the characters not being nearly as recognizable or iconic as Nintendo's characters, yet in the 2020's Astro's Playroom and Astro Bot had those same characters and even gameplay styles represented--on top of some serious deep-cut references to PlayStation's history--and clearly was more successful at reaching at least die-hard PS fans like myself.
I even remember some games from that era having "Smash clones" as optionable, separate multiplayer modes, like some of the Star Wars games, which I think is the better strategy so long as Super Smash Bros continues to dominate the entire "platformer fighter" genre.
Also, reusing old IPs is all ancient companies like Warner Bros have still got right now. No one in their right mind would think they could get their original idea off the ground at such notoriously risk-averse Hollywood studios (especially in Warner Bros' case, where they infamously shut down Cartoon Network Studios and all the originality that came with CN up until it became the "Teen Titans GO!" rerun channel), and doubly so in an age where putting your original pilots on YouTube or even Newgrounds (usually both is good) is the only way to get your idea out there these days without suits and lawyers immediately stripping any soul from your work and not even advertising your work, anyway, due to how much less effort it takes to promote a nostalgic reboot over an unproven original IP. Best case scenario under Zaslav, your original idea might be repurposed into an existing IP, similar to what happened to Velma, and we know how THAT turned out.
Companies like WB-Discovery and Viacom just need to put more effort in making the game unique, not just "Super Smash Bros, but with THIS company's IPs instead of Nintendo's" to better stand out in the inevitable third and fourth wave of Smash Bros clones.
And also spot on what WB is doing these days
