i read long ago that kids naturally have far more sensitive tastebuds than adults
i guess it also helps that cooking is a labour intensive task and it doesnt make sense to spend an hour or more on a meal that'll be eaten in fifteen minutes or so

oh, and i guess it also helps that i brushed my tongue daily the last four or five years...and apparently that can kill tastebuds if done too vigorously

did i mention tastebuds don't grow back?
