But what if they run out of potatoes dude?

What if America runs out of golden russets?

Response to: Does this make me a weak person? Posted June 19th, 2016 in General

I find it fascinating that you can't sleep without it. I wouldn't call it bad if you always slept with a stuffed toy, but if you have that much trouble, it's worth thinking about why.

I would, however, recommend sleeping with a pillow between your legs for any side sleepers - it's better for hip alignment.

Meditating can be divided into a few things. I was never any good at clearing my thoughts/thinking of "nothing", but I find keeping a journal can be pretty meditative as it lets me consciously process how the past couple of days have been and what my current thought process is.

Reading is good too, and people like well-spoken, thought-provoking individuals.

Ah, flash games.

Forget-me-not was a really fun game for me a while back. Not sure if you'll like it.

Yeah, but it sucks how everyone formed the same opinion of me and labeled me a monster. Did I really do anything bad??

People take their friend's side and jump to conclusions all the time. You could have sneezed in her direction and it would have been reacting the same. Especially if she has that many followers, she would have a pretty good hivemind at her service.

There's this gem I found years ago called Diamond Hollow. The sequel is more RPG-like in nature, you level up your stats and progress through a story. Buckets of fun.

Response to: Dear Lenovo and MSi laptop owners, Posted March 13th, 2014 in General

I got myself a Thinkpad T430 for school last year and it's been serving me pretty well. They seem to have discontinued it though, so the T440 series is the next logical step, but this is a little above your price range. To be honest, I really love the build of this computer. It feels sturdy, keyboard is excellent, battery life is pretty good too (4+ hours, but I got a 9cell extended battery). It might not be the best for gaming though, the optional graphics card that came with mine isn't good for gaming at all. Probably the worst thing about this laptop is the speakers. They're not broken, but they're bad if you like listening to music.

Compared to an HP laptop, the bloatware that comes with the laptop isn't all that bad. It has a nice battery indicator and the stuff rarely gets in the way. I used to have a dell and HP before this one, the HP's bloatware in particular was pretty troublesome.

If you are going for Lenovo though... I gotta warn you, their customer service is poor. I paid extra for next-day on-site repair with accidental damage protection (weird story, fan died). They shipped the wrong part twice and ultimately took a week to replace a fan. I called Lenovo and yelled at them enough to get 10% back on my purchase though, which was kinda nice.

You seem to be pretty serious about finding a good laptop. I recommend looking at the Notebook Review forums, sometimes they post about deals for good laptops. My friend managed to get a Lenovo Ideapad for like $200 off the regular price, maybe it can help you too.

And since you're (likely) getting a new laptop, I'd like to recommend a cool utility called Ninite. You can check off which programs you want to install from the site list and it'll make a specialized executable to facilitate all the downloads and installation. It saves a lot of time. Good luck!

Response to: Okay, so I want to watch Anime... Posted February 16th, 2014 in General

Not sure if alt or actual user.. but sure, why not?

You've probably heard of the super popular ones, Sword Art Online is decent (at least the first arc is) and Attack on Titan is pretty good. FMA Brotherhood is a very popular one, so is Gurren Lagann (but I haven't watched either). If you want a show more intense I'd recommend Mirai Nikki (Future Diary). But if you want a masterpiece go watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica, it has great animation and a well-executed concept.

Good luck.

Response to: Failing an exam!?!?!?!? Posted February 11th, 2014 in General

You probably didn't fail.. that bad.

It's kinda unfortunate that your posts read like a middle schooler's, but as a pre-med you should know that one test (or even one grade) alone won't screw you over. Maybe you'll have to retake the class at worst, but med schools look for well rounded applications. Shove some community service or physician shadowing, participate in extracurriculars, find a way to make your passion into a project you can write about on your resume/application. Typical pre-med advice here.

If you did fail that badly, then that sucks. And it sucks to suck.

Just started with the third episode, I quite enjoyed it for what it was. The fighting robot was a nice throwback to Megas XLR, though I'm sure they didn't intend that.

At 1/14/14 06:45 PM, Wegra wrote: That they are a new person and change into a bunch of assholes who always act like their panties are in a bunch?

That doesn't sound like being mature at all.

I think it's like what others have said, there's a time and place to be mature and to be goofy. You're expected to be mature when it comes to certain things - going to the bank, filing taxes, grown-up stuff. But trying to proclaim superiority in social situations by acting "mature" implies the opposite. There's a correlation between maturity and competence, not a causation as some may assume.

On a side note it's cool to see that Bedn is still alive in the Interweb's eye, though the circumstances aren't quite pleasant.

Response to: I Dislike The Mp3 Filename On Ng!!! Posted November 18th, 2013 in General

At 11/18/13 01:34 PM, Profanity wrote: Why don't you just rename it to Artist - Songtitle.mp3?

Years back when I listened mostly to music from the AP I renamed each song I downloaded. It takes about 10 seconds a song, I don't know what the big deal is.

To be fair, relegating the ID to the MP3's metadata sounds like a good idea. It'd certainly be accessible, just not as visible, which is nice for MP3 players.

Response to: Censorship Posted November 18th, 2013 in NG News

The problem is when the media/public sees the game, (it seems to me) they consider it to be endorsed by Newgrounds, rather than just hosted on this site. If it were Youtube or Facebook, let's pretend it's a possibility, then a lot more attention and hate would be funneled at the author himself. I wouldn't believe Youtube could risk jeopardy if such were the case, but Newgrounds can.

It's unfortunate that the alternative is to risk Newgrounds being shut down, but I guess reality is like that.

The Unlegend? Posted November 11th, 2013 in General

How would you define the unlegend? Someone who commits a legendary act in reverse? Someone who commits the most infamous of crimes?

I'd call a being of pure evil, if such exists, the unlegend.
