Sometimes it may look like it, but art shouldn't be a competition.
I see the art community as a family, so if you see someone who's better then you- don't hate them
ask them for advice
build a friendship
interact with them
Try to learn some of their skills
(without copying too much of their art)
But pls dont feel bad about your art
I don't hate on em for being better than me, I'd just all the more of a bitter and negative person all for my shortcomings. I'll try to keep what ya told me in mind.
I do get that bitter feeling sometimes. When that feeling sets in I go back to a subject that I like. Sometimes I just color and remind myself that art is not supposed to make you feel miserable. Trying a new medium may also help you, I suggest ball point pen. Hope this helps/gen
