Trying out some new color palettes!
I dont usually use orange, green nor yellow in my drawings so I made these to practice a little xD
lighting and color study
my reference:
in this painting I started with darker tones, then added the light and painted the darkest shadows at last.
I´ll use this thread for sharing my studies and explain them sometimes
I made this one a long time ago, practicing some of the advice given by Ethan Becker.
First I try to break down the anatomy in simpler shapes over the image im stuying, after that I try to recreate the shapes but without tracing. In the right image, I traced the silouette of the character in red, after that I try to draw lines over the silouette to make the same character but from another angle. I also used the shape of the torso to build some different poses.
I made this one today, In this study I just tried to somplify the torso as much as possible with that heptagonic shape. It works pretty well, but makes it difficult to study depth tho.

Anyway, thanks in advance and feel free to tear me up lol (but be constructive plees)

Your art looks really cool! I don't really think I have the level to critique it yet but there are some tips that did help me to get better:
-make studies from real life poses, objects and lighting!
it is usually very fun helps you getting a better understanding on those
-make some paintings starting with everything in shadows and then add the light on it
we usually start with everything on a neutral palette, then add shadows and last we add lighting. But starting with everything on a darker tone can help you understand better how light works on that object.
Just a panel from a comic I´m working on...

nothing fancy, just a quick drawing without much detail
at first I started to paint the background, but then I realized I didnt wanted to spend a lot of time drawing perspective guides, looking for references, and drawing a detailed alleway which would take longer than the actual character... soo I decided to try those AI that everybody was talking about
At first I didnt quite got it, but after looking for the right page and many attempts looking for the right commands I got the AI to make this for me:
It might no be exactly what I wanted, but it gets the job done
the mood is there, I only needed to put my drawing in that alleyway and start editing
It ended looking really cool, I would add the final result here but the limit is 2 images :P
(I uploaded it here on my profile tho, go check it out)
If you tried something like this, mixing your own work with AI, I would like to see it, you can use this thread to share your experiences n.n
I just realized I can reply myself with the final result:

AI generated "artwork" has been a topic of great debate on the internet recently and I got recommended an AI generated piece over on that cesspool called Deviantart. I went on to the person's profile main page and saw they were very upfront about using AI to make their "art", but what really stuck out to me was that they had only joined 3 days ago......and were already pushing over 1K watchers/followers.
Yeah, it's dA and they're nothing but gross degenerates (the bad kind, not the good kind like we are) who don't really care about actual "art" and just want something to wack it to.
Do you consider AI generated "artwork" to be real artwork? If the pictures were good enough, would you care that an AI generated them? Would you consider someone who uses AI to be an "artist"?
Personally, I do not consider AI art to be real art...nor do I consider the person who "created" it to be an artist, especially considering they didn't even really make anything.
What are your thoughts?
Obviously no, AI users are not artists. The true "coding artists" if you can call it like that are the programmers behind them AI.
Anyways, it is a nice tool to have around, there's no need to reject it nor be afraid of it. Learning how to use it properly can help real artists and illustrators with their workflow.
In the other hand, I haven't thought about it enough so my thoughts may change in the future.

There you can show your art stuff like studies, sketches, some finished products. It's a good way for people to see your art in an organized manner. Also people can give you tips to help improve your art.
Another good way is to join an Collab. You get to interact with different people and when the Collab is done many people can see your work on the Collab. Therefore there's a good chance people will remember your art.
Lastly posting and talking in the forum section on Newgrounds is a good way to get noticed by people you can even make some friends if you want. Also if you see some cool art leave a well detailed review who knows maybe someone will also check out your own work.
Just like any other social media place getting a following takes time so don't try to rush it and have fun. Let your interactions with people be genuine
yeah, you got me thinking, I think I need to interact more with the social media instead of only posting stuff xD
Those look like really good advice, Im going to try all of them
and thank you very much for replying!
Even if my art isn't pro level yet, I think it isn't bad either
but for a long time I've been struggling to build up followers, and in this business I think is essential to have a decent amount of followers if you want to make a living of it... soo, if any of you have an idea of how to to do so I'd like to read your tips n tricks
oh, and here's an example of my art for better context:
