Response to: Comic Book Artist Needed *PAID* Posted September 26th, 2016 in Collaboration

Update!!!

I have spoken over with my current artist and it will work much better if he continues with sketches/line art/backgrounds and someone does the colours.

So I am currently chasing a confident colour artist who is able to complete approximately 20 pages. Price per panel will need to be negotiated.

I've had a fair bit of response and have messaged back many artists regarding the search for another artist so please, anyone who feels they can join in on the project, message me!

Cheers!
Dan

Comic Book Artist Needed *PAID* Posted September 20th, 2016 in Collaboration

Hi Newgrounds!

Last year I posted a request for an artist to illustrate a comic book for me. Jomillex reached out and has been working on the comic book ever since. It has however, turned out to be a much bigger project than originally expected, with the refined script exceeding 40 pages (it will be around 200-300 panels). At this pace, the comic book won't be completed until late 2017-early 2018 however, I am hoping for the project to be wrapped up before mid next year.

I will be chasing one or two more artists to help contribute. I will need a line and colour artist. For a whole panel, I am paying $8US (sketched, lined and coloured). Excluding sketches, I will pay $6.50US per panel if the artist can line and colour.

If you believe your art style matches, or you can match the art style posted below, please send me an email: sketchyentertainment@gmail.com

This is a fun project and you will have Josh (artist) and I (writer) to encourage and support you through it. You will be fully credited for any contribution and paid per page.

Cheers!
Dan

Response to: Newgrounds - The Interviewer Posted May 20th, 2016 in Writing

Hey mate, it's a long overdue reply, but I won't be able to continue with the interviewer as I am hardly on Newgrounds anymore and I am following a new passion with writing.

Thanks mate, I'm thankful that you allowed me to do my bits here and there.

Artist Wanted ($500US paid work) Posted February 3rd, 2016 in Collaboration

I posted a similar post in November 2015 and I have an artist still working on that project (just to clear that up for any who think they've seen this before). In this post, I will be chasing two separate artists for two separate comic books ($500US each).

So, unlike the previous post, this one will be for an entirely different comic book(s). I won't drop too many spoilers... but both comic book scripts have strong storylines and great twists. One is time machine, the other involves the devil.

Both comic books will be around 200 panels each and the art will need to be relatively detailed.

Email me here: sketchyentertainment@gmail.com if you are interested in taking part and provide me with some examples of your work, or even a link to your NG account.

$500US is the maximum I am looking to pay... I may decide later on to go with a lesser-detailed comic book, but will reduce the cost of what I want to spend... Of course, if I like your art and we've agreed on a price, it will remain that price the whole time.

Thank you very much!
Daniel

Paid Work $500US - Artists Wanted. Posted November 16th, 2015 in Collaboration

Hello Newgrounds,

I have been working on three separate comic book scripts for the past six months. I have completed two of them, one with an artist already working on it. These aren't fan fiction.

I require an artist who can offer a lively cartoon style, one that's not realistic but not super cartoony. I'm chasing an artist who can replicate art reasonably similar to the art style of Futurama, Simpsons and/or Family Guy.

I have a few projects for the future in mind too, also paid work, so you will get first option. For this project, I have a minimum of $500US put aside for it. I will pay after the completion of each panel, or if you prefer, will pay in bulk. There will be approximately 150 panels for this comic book, give or take.

Please email me with examples of your work and I will respond if I am interested in hiring your or not (I won't be as blunt). This will be contracted work so I am most likely not interested in hiring anyone under the age of 18 for legal reasons.

My email is: sketchyentertainment@gmail.com

I am located in Australia, but am willing to hire an artist from anywhere.

Thank you for your time.
Dan

Voice Acting - How To Get Started? Posted December 12th, 2014 in Audio

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I've been on Newgrounds. I've been wanting to get back into entertainment side of things, although I am only interested in voice acting. I would just like some tips! :)

How do I get started? What equipment/programs do you suggest I use? Only quality programs.

I will be looking at voicing animations just for the fun of it for free, beginner animators or not! I just want to have a blast doing something I love in my free time during my time on and off of University.

I appreciate your help,
Thank you
Daniel

Response to: Advice needed on specs Posted April 8th, 2014 in Art

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume he meant 3000mm x 1000mm.

Ah yes I'm such a tool! 3000mm x 1000mm. I have no plans on wrapping a building just yet Nae :P

So 3 metres x 1 metre. I'll have a look around ask the printing companies here in Aus.
Thanks and it's good to see you two still active on the forums :)

Advice needed on specs Posted April 2nd, 2014 in Art

It's been a long time since I've been on Newgrounds, hope everyone is doing well.

Anyway, I have a question. I am considering hiring an artist to make a design for a 3000cm x 1000cm vinyl poster/banner which I will then get printed (600gsm I think), however I'm just wondering, what program is best when it comes to design for posters AND for a high resolution print, what size would the specs of the program need to be for the design? I would like to know these questions for the sake of the artist if they're not so sure.

Cheers

Response to: Australia Day Collab Posted February 8th, 2013 in Collaboration

@Everyone: I have only received a few parts, very little to what is needed in order to finish this collab. Little interest has been shown in this collab, and I thank those who have been willing to respond to my messages and keep me updated with their parts.

Continue with your parts and make them into solo projects and upload them to the NG portal, there are some very talented pieces that have been created. Sorry to let you down everyone, being in my last year of school, it's a major priority and I cannot put in much effort in this collab anymore.
Good luck everyone, remember to make your parts solo projects :)
Thanks

Yeah sorry mate I've been caught in those floods I'm QLD and never had reception/power. I'm away from home and have no access to a computer to compile the collab. This collab will go ahead, I swear to God, it will just be delayed (I still don't have many parts and have messaged everyone, it's just a busy time of year). I have a heap of people finishing up on their parts too, so no need to worry.

School is a problem, I've started grade 12, so I will have to get around to the collab on weekends. I once again promise you this collab will finish haha :)

Glad to see the collab is coming along well. I only have a few parts so far, out of the 30 or so people who joined, so the collab may have to be extended sorry. There aren't enough parts as of get but the collab is still going ahead, it'll just be uploaded later haha.

P.S. Kidney, I will check out your part next time I'm on the computer :)

"balloons Are To Die For" Animation Posted November 17th, 2012 in Collaboration

Hello everyone. I am currently working on an animation about a boy who loses his balloon and then attempts many dangerous ways to get the balloon back. Sounds boring? Well yeah it does, but I just don't want to give the whole plot/script away as it's the best one I've ever thought of.

As I don't have as much time on my hands as I would like to, I need another animator or two to help me out with it. I already have it storyboarded and a scene nearly completed in case you'd like to know.

So I will need the following in ordeer for this animation to be completed:

1. Animator x 2 (including myself)
2. Background Artist x 2

That will be it for now, if you'd like to be one of these contributors, just jot your name down below and I will decide later :)

Thank you

Response to: The Nokia Hands Intro Collab Posted November 16th, 2012 in Collaboration

Eh nevermind what I said, just keep how many parts we have, just make that phone better, don't use line tool with it and add in more shading, I guess that's it. Also put in a song in the background for the menu so it isn't so boring.

Sorry for triple post
Response to: The Nokia Hands Intro Collab Posted November 16th, 2012 in Collaboration

I guess the selection does work alright though, but make the phone bigger anyway.

Response to: The Nokia Hands Intro Collab Posted November 16th, 2012 in Collaboration

Hey Snowy, not be a dick, but I still think the menu could be better. To be honest, I don't like the idea of not having the collab in just one stream with transitions. With all of the parts together, the collab only goes for 40 seconds (about), with transitions it will be about 52seconds. I still suggest there should be more parts added to the collab, even though we have reached the deadline, I think extending the deadline until we get around 5 more parts is best.

From my experience, the menu's are the first part the audience judge on, and this one just doesn't do it for me sorry mate, the line tool shouldn't be used I reckon.

So yeah, try get a few more parts and make it into one whole stream of animations, it's what is best for collabs like these. You only have menus like this one if the parts are longer than 10 seconds or so, not 3-6seconds.
