Trying to design some characters. One of them may be familiar. The second page is random junk.
Some fundamentals and messing around with different body types.
I haven't done the organic arrows exercise in a while. I'm really rusty with them. The second page is just some coloring of portraits. Trying to understand color and how lights hit forms.
Drawing some poses from imagination and some basic practice.
I'd encourage you to try different and stronger or more committed expressions. Sometimes it seems like you're more interested in the figure and its gesture and the face is an afterthought. It would be interesting to see gesture and expression come together in your work. It requires you to kind of put yourself in the position of the character and act out how you want them to look. Herge said when drawing Tintin the penciling was the most energy-intensive part of his process because he would pose and jump around and make faces and act like a madman in his studio so the energy would go into the pencils. Then he'd ink it ultra-precise. Could be fun. Hope that wasn't too annoying, just some thoughts I had.
