…So I made this.

All I wanted was to make was a clean, to the point, universal OC card meant to share with artists for whatever. Now you’re gonna ask me… What’s with all the detail? Why is she so fuzzy? I DON’T KNOW!!

Seeing as how I was improving on sprite work followed by my experience with that style poll I’ve posted on Pixel Day, all I wanted to do is to improve the hair design on this version of Fox Sprite… only for one thing to lead to another. I have an attachment to this character, so I don’t actually know if I have reached uncanny valley with this; however, with my objective eye, I might have been.

Overall, the damage is done, and I’m gonna move on and try making a gag comic for that JUMP event going on this month. All I can say is… there was an attempt! 🤷‍♂️

pros: you're too good at drawing fur now

cons: you're too good at drawing fur now

Yeah, I would agree that the detailed fur doesn’t fit well with the simplistic rest of the style. Also the eyes/face looks a bit uncanny, and I don’t know if it’s because of the relative simplicity compared to everything else or just the way it looks.

Also haha furry 🫵🏻

Someone please help me revive my clubs

It’s like one of those science experiments gone awkward.

*Even I noticed the eyes looked a bit off; however, attempting to fix it, didn’t give a very satisfying result.

After making that comic, I may do a take two and simplify the design to make it more presentable. I’m already writing a script and discovered I may have to do seven pages of this one-off.

Man, I’ve accepted having that flaw a lo-o-o-o-ong time ago! Hell, I’ll join you on that mockery!

Yeah you did went too far in a few places and you’re gonna have to make the overall design more simplistic cause the detailed fur just makes it look wrong. Maybe this is a harsh comparison but I think you should give them, or at least the fur, the Sonic movie treatment cause holy uncanny valley Batman!

Well, hey! At the very least, simplifying this might be easy with a little tracing. Hell, it might even be better because often errors get cleaned out the more a drawing gets retraced! Question is, should it remain being lineless or return to lined?

Lined fits the simplistic art style you’re going for but that’s just me
