Posemaniacs is great. They have a huge collection of poses.

I use that app at times, when having problem with a pose that I don't find a good reference for.
I think it is an OK tool as a complement to using a model or other reference.
It has it limitations and should probably not be your main 'tool' for poses. An actual reference usually is better.

As someone who also use Posemaniacs, I wholeheartedly agree!
Justsketchme (the website listed in this forum) has the advantage of being more interactive by enabling users to create their own poses if you have the time to. But I still recommend Posemaniacs as it's much more easier to use an existing pose.
3rd endorsement of posemaniacs, though I put video reference above all else when it comes to action poses.
Tools where you pose your own mannequin do have some advantages, but I feel like it's something for when you've already had some experience drawing real or professionally made poses. They very often offer more articulation than what's physically possible, so it's super easy to make a pose that's impossible, with poorly balanced weight and a bunch of other problems if you don't know what you're doing. Tracing over mannequins can also result in some pretty stiff results, so it's less of a shortcut than it seems sometimes. Don't let that stop you from experimenting, but don't agonize over it if you don't love the results.

It is not supposed to look amazing; it looks good to use for posing. I use something similar. When it comes to posing some people use 3d modules or pictures.

Yeah, some people use 3D for lighting and creating compositions. You have a lot of control over the look of the scene and customizing your own refs. It became standard in concept artistry and splash illustration around 2019.
I actually have that app. It's pretty great.
I know a lot of people here insist on posemaniacs, and that's a solid website too, but the fact it can be poseable to what you want helps.
Could also use reference stock photos like dorkastock, pose it in that software, and have it set in a certain camera angle too if the stock photo isn't enough.
Though I haven't heard of anything recent from the developers of said app.
if you want the best pose reference either look up irl images online on a place like pinterest or quickpose. or take a pic of your self or a friend with your phone. preferably the ladder if you can cuz doing it your self will give you a better feel of the pose
if you really need to use 3d models for a pose tho, i don't get what advantage this has over just importing models into smt like blender. the rotate and move tools are the same except here(as far as i know) there is no IKs, FKs, or anything to help make posing easier.

the advantage would be not having to learn how to use blender (or either make or get your hands on rigged models)

oh, and there's that too: not having to install stuff and hope your graphics card can handle it (i'm currently onboard with 512MB, so no clue if i can currently run blender to begin with).

i can barely run it too. sfm works pretty well with the right models but its also hell to work with
