The Xunmato storyline is an anime-influenced animation with similarities to Trigun but with a sword wielding protagonist fighting against trigger-happy gangs, which falls into a modern fantasy genre. But in the prequel game, "Xunmato Alpha Knights," is set in a high fantasy setting with monsters, armored knights, mages, rangers, barbarians, and portals alternate dimensions.

4 months in the making, 'Xunmato Alpha' is finally complete. Xunmato alpha is an action packed combat game with loads of features and stacks of fun. Play story mode, where you battle your way through endless hoards of monsters, or arcade, where you can play against the computer or a friend as four different characters. Amano, Barbus, Sora and Violet, each with their own special abilities, combos and attacks.

The game is fine for what it is, a simple side-scrolling brawler. I thought the combat could get a little repetitive at the end though and the fight against Barbus is extremely annoying but apart from those two, I'd say I enjoyed myself.
i love it
I remember playing this game when I was younger and I hated Barbas or whatever the hell his name is. Why he's obsessed with a sword is beyond me. Sure it's powerful, but I'm sure he could get another powerful weapon as well.
Even after 10 years, this game still amazes me. I'm still curious about the concept and everything to the story even after the animation from a while ago.
