It's pretty good, it can take a while to get the upgrades to really last, but that´s part of what makes it fun i think.

Pretty cool game and concept! Nice to see this make what is a good experience of an escort-based game. Makes me feel like a tank in an MMO. I wish the enemies would splatter their particles on death away from my shield so it feels like they smacked themselves against it more. While it's a simple game, I think it's pretty intuitive at communicating the mechanics without words and it has a good variety of well-designed enemies and challenges.
Nice game! One question though, how does the darkness mechanic work? It feels like it happens randomly, but I'm not sure.
Theres an enemy that spawns at the edges of the level that causes the darkness effect. Destroying that enemy gets rid of the darkness. I planned to have an indicator for that enemy at first since it doesn't move around like the other enemies, but ran out of time since this game was made for Ludum Dare.
love the count down. the game play is really smooth and i enjoyed it
Really nice; that little connecting thread is a really particularly neat touch imo, cause it QUICKLY communicated that I was supposed to protect this thing. Great work!
