This is not "oozing of console-quality"

I don't know how this made it to the front page, especially with a comment like, "oozing of console-quality." This is nowhere near the quality as a console...not even super-nintendo quality.

It's a good concept...alot of tweeking will go a long way. But as of now, it's nasty. Like many have said already, it's really out of sync in some places. I have a really good sence of tempo, beat, and timing...and if I were to play this solely by ear, I would fail because of the out of sync issue.

My problem is this also. In the options menu, you can't adjust the quality of the flash...or adjust the particles any lower than 5. My computer, as decent as it is, was having issues keeping up graphically. I think that may have contributed to the out-of-sync issue. Giving the user the option to lessen the quality, and lessen (or remove completely) the particles would have fixed this.

...kinda pissed off that this got front page, since there are clearly better submissions to take it's place.

Valid, but not good

First, this is a random music rhythm beat-game. Second, as another reviewer remarked, the beats are out-of-sync with the music. Third, the music is not very entertaining and every song seems to have been made during an evening (which is, of course, wrong, but it SOUNDS like as this was the case). Fourth, sound effects are extremely repetitive. Gets annoying. Fifth, the graphics are so-so. The background images are nice, but they could have been more detailed, have a better resolution etc..

Over-all, this was not a very good game, and definitely not "oozing of console-quality." Pretty surprising regarding the amount of good animators that's been working on this game. Well, better luck next time.

My experience

As im going to music school on my free time (drums) I have developed a strong sense of rhythm and beats, and I make music on my freetime aswell, I would like to say that flash can never be used as to making music games, and beat gaes, because it is ALLWAYS out of sync.
if I look at the beats graphic and tap the keyboard I get full points.
BUT if I look at the music And tap the keyboard as my ears tell me to, then i get 40% success rate. This is the proof that flash sucks for this.

eh...

needs alot of work on the sync, I saw diff distance for beats that should o fbeen the same for 10-20 seconds...
Rhythm games should work even with your eyes closed, that's how you test the sync.

Very nice

Graphics: very well done, quite impressed
Style: although a ripoff of DDR/Guitar Hero, the original "high/low" notes is what gives it the score
Sound: music reminds of the soundtrack from Sonic CD
Violence: N/A
Interactivity: Some timing tweaks are needed, especially on the 2nd stage
Humor: still playing it

Overall:
Very well constructed game. Seems to have a bit of trouble in some stages where directions are cluttered keeping up with keystrokes, but otherwise an awesome flash.
