Reviews for "BattlePaint"

Very Interesting

I Enjoyed writing things it the paint :P

Brilliant game

I love this game. Trying to move with WASD and shoot with the arrow keys (or is it vice versa?) was kinda hard at first, but you get used to it. The songs are so addicting. Did you make them yourself? I kinda want them for my iPod. Keep up the good work. Newgrounds keeps telling me my review is too short, but I really just want to know where the songs came from so I'll keep typing until I'm allowed to submit this.

A game that screams to be good.

A neat shooting game. Paint is involved, and blocks are involved, that's it.

There isn't really much else to review. Music was good.

One thing I would have liked to see would be variety. Paint formations were great, but overall, got stale and boring as the levels went on. Needs more variety in terms of what type of enemies there are, like durable enemies that take more than one shot, enemies that fire back, and so on.

Of course, a nice way to accompany this would be to have a level up system, where people can spend points into what they want to upgrade, whether it be for more hp, more attack power, faster speed, more rapid shots, and so on.

Would have been nice to implement these features, but as it is now, it's so bland later on, that it has no real replay value.

Loved it.

It's an amazing game. I find myself playing it for hours, but I would like to see more variety in enemies.

Other than that, the music was amazing and the gameplay was solid.
I would love to know what songs you used!

BattlePaint Adds A Twist In Shooting Games

BattlePaint is a game where you are a square and starts shooting moving sqaures, your enemy squares are all unique in color. Like a blue square is fast while white squares are faster, which are harder to kill.

When you keep advancing into the quick levels, you'll notice there seems to be harder and always a twist. BattlePaint has no story, however, and gets boring easily if you want a game with very detailed graphics.

The twist in this shooting game is that you clean up the paint, the paint splashed when you kill an enemy, and when your orange bar (below your character) fills up, you can shoot 3 rectangles now.

The controls are VERY hard to master, and there slippery controls, but they respond to your keyboard pretty well. But your square moves like it's on ice.
Once you advance through the super easy first levels then you probably get used to it when you advance to the harder levels.

Although, some harder levels NEED your advanced shooting (shoot 3 rectangles all at once), and it decreases like CRAZY! You need to kills tons if you want to stay in your advanced level.

The game doesn't have any powerups, health regenerations, levels, or even anything unique. Just a very simple shooting game with a small twist.
One tier is very long, and I haven't even got to complete one teir...

And since there's no health regenerations, I really doubt anyone will complete Tier 2. (Unless they hack the game, obviously.)

BattlePaint is pretty decent, except the lame squares, slipper and complex controls, and is way too simple. But yet decent.

THE GOOD:
Twist +3
Simple Yet Fun +2
Not Too Hard +1

THE BAD:
Slippery and Complex Controls -2
Some Lame Graphics -1
Can Bore You To Death If You Stay Too Long (C.B.Y.T.D.I.Y.S.T.L) -1

SCORE:
4/5 Decent!
8/10 Pretty Decent!

Overall Comment: BattlePaint has a small twist in this shooting game, but can
bore you to death if you stay to this game to long just for a score.
