I've been using the same PC since 2009.
(except that half of the chips, cards, etc, are brand new)
because I'm always buying parts for the inside, whenever I get my tax return.)

Linux guy here. The ancap thing made me giggle. It's actually rather interesting to use- but definitely there's a learning curve. Similar to your experience with the Mac, though, was sick of Windows and moved on to something else.
