At first, Cryos just wanted to kill Zero for embarrassing him and halting his progress on his mission to take over the entire universe, Zero made him waste lots of time and resources on a single destroyed planet with nothing useful on it. After they traveled back in time however, Cryos is furious at Zero for making him lose everything he had taken over in the future, plus Zero is stopping him from taking over other planets as well. Zero doesn't take Cryos as a very serious threat, at first he was only using him for entertainment. Zero's attitude changes when Cryos threatens the Earth and the universe in the present, he's not going to let Earth or any other planet turn into a desolate wasteland like in the future he was released in

That's cool; sure seems like a very bitter rivalry indeed.

Does Zero ever have to struggle with the actions he committed in the past? Does it affect his efforts to protect humanity in the present in any way?

He mainly tries to focus on the present and doesn't really ever think about his past too much, he sometimes mentions overhearing certain details about history when it's relevant. He also uses an ancient volcano temple made in worship of him to store his things

During his time tormenting humanity, groups of evil cultists started to form in worship and seeking his salvation... He disintegrated nearly all of them. The only group he spared however was the one that invaded villages and made sacrifices, they built a temple in a volcano and used it as their gathering place for sacrifices

Oh wow, I have no idea how a character so deeply rooted in evil can turn himself into the protector of humanity. Speaking of which, why did Zero decide to protect humanity? I know you said it was to prevent the Earth from falling to the fate he once witnessed, but if he was such an evil character then wouldn't he want to see the downfall of humanity? What changed within him?

He got kind of bored messing with Cryos after a while. When they traveled to the past and Zero took in all the senses and colors, he realized what he was missing out on all those years. He didn't want the Earth to fall into ruin again because then he would be alone for the rest of eternity. This was before he was able to fly through and survive in space, so Earth was the only planet he had, also having special attachment because in a way it's his home planet. He wants to see Earth prosper until they are capable of defending themselves.

That's kinda heartwarming, actually. He's an alien creature, yet he has come to see Earth as his home.

Anyway, time for something a little more esoteric now... what's Zero's favourite food(s)?

He definitely loves chicken and steak, his favorite snacks are doritos, oreos, and chocolate bars

How do humans react when they see Zero just going about his day? Does he get a lot of weird looks? Does he get harassed? Noticed a lot? Or do they not even pay attention?

He tries to stay away from populated areas most of the time, usually high up in the sky or out in the wilderness. People often do stare when he's out publicly, some think he's a menace or a freak, others want to sleep with him 🤣🤣🤣

What does an average day for Zero look like? You know, when he's not fighting alien threats and all.

He spends most of his time alone and training, sometimes practicing new attacks and techniques. If he’s not doing that then he’s either taking the day off by resting or casually strolling through cities and towns

Does he have any hobbies outside of training/fighting?

Not really, he spends about 80% of his time doing that, he does know how to rap and sing though 🎤

How tough are his fights for him? Fairly easy, or does he usually get close to death?

His fights against Cryos are usually not too bad, coming out unscathed most of the time. He usually has more of a challenge when going up against a giant battle mech. Zero’s tougher battles come from different villains, he can be battered by only a few beings in the universe. Against these foes, Zero can only manage a win by transforming to a stronger state, and sometimes even that won’t be enough, he’ll usually need to go all out or use a clever tactic to win

Well that's certainly interesting to hear. Looks like Cryos needs to start stepping his game up...

So if Zero were to be defeated, would the world end up turning into what he once saw? How crucial is he to the survival of humanity?

If Zero is incapacitated long enough for any main villain to succeed in their plan, the Earth is doomed

Zero enjoys the thrill of a fight, he likes to be tested and is pleased when gifted by the fruits of his labor. He doesn’t enjoy losing like most people and has less fun fighting if everything is at stake and the chips are down for him

Overall, would you say Zero enjoys his current life?

Yep! Even though he gets his ass beat and suffers a lot, he believes it’s worth it, just like any good superhero

I'm genuinely impressed at how in-depth you have gone with this character. Even if you were making up these responses on the spot, that's still lore you can add to him. But seriously, it seems you've got a solid story laid down, and an actual personality with interests and dislikes, so he isn't just some static character. I think you really have a lot of potential with this guy.
