Decided to make a thread because I wanted to interact more with you guys and also give more information behind my ocs and art than I would in news posts or descriptions. I'll be posting art, doodles, and answering questions you guys may have about my ocs and also the thought process behind some of my art. Feel free to ask me some questions and also send fanart! Is there any way to kill Zer0? (Or Permanently weaken him)

He can be killed any type of way if he has his guard completely down (except via infrared radiation)

Theoretically the only way he can be permanently weakened is if his powers were somehow stolen, but he would find a way to get them back

Give me the lowdown on this Zero guy. Who is he? What does he do?

He's a demon from the far reaches of outer space and he hangs out on Earth, fending off alien threats and saving the world

Sounds like a cool character! Does he have an origin story?

Before the creation of the universe, there were 2 entities that constantly battled; The Ultimate and the Eternal

The Ultimate was a vaguely humanoid shaped being, though it had a tail and was completely black and glowed with a white outline

The Eternal on the other hand, was a giant planet sized monster, with dozens of large tentacles and a giant mouth in it's center with rows of sharp teeth and a single slit eye in the middle

(this art is old but it's the only thing I have for now...)

One massive clash between them created the universe and it began to rapidly expand

During one of their battles, the Ultimate was beaten and tossed into some area of the universe called the Milky Way. It then needed time to recover, pulling loads of rocks towards itself to hide from the Eternal

After a few billion years, the Ultimate was finally ready to emerge from the giant celestial body

It had watched life arise from the ocean and took a keen interest in humankind, though it sensed the horrific violence and suffering of human wars, corrupting it's mind. It finally emerged from the core of the Earth, though it had taken a physical body which reduced it's power significantly and was now filled with evil intent. This new entity traveled across the planet, tormenting humanity and causing countless to suffer. This demon was eventually sealed away after a few hundred years, the seal stayed intact for thousands of years, until it began to crack...

There's part 1 of the yap sesh on his backstory, just taking a break right there in case you have any more questions unless you'd like me to continue :)

After thousands and thousands of years being trapped in it's prison, the demon listened to everything happening on the surface. It got very angry at the sound of people prospering and enjoying themselves, but the sounds of people screaming in terror with the accompanied sounds of explosions and gunfire sated it. The demon tuned out after a long period of silence across the entire planet, there had been the sounds of suffering and destruction, but that was a long time ago...

The seal had stayed hidden throughout all of this, though the magic power that fueled it had began to fade and the physical tomb started to crack. The demon took the opportunity to wear the seal more and more as time went on, sacrificing most of it's power. Eventually the demon was free from it's dark prison and was thrilled, until it took in it's surroundings and realized the surface of the planet had been devastated far beyond what it had ever done itself. The demon traveled across the planet in search of any signs of life, the toxic air and polluted waters changing the color of its body. The demon felt embarrassed for the first time when it saw itself naked and with strange colors. Flying down to a dump where there was a mountain of old tattered clothes and belongings, the demon picked a few and assimilated them into it's body. The demon continued to search for victims to torment but found nothing. It came across some small flying metal objects that seemed to be searching for something, the beast didn't take interest in them as they weren't made of flesh and thus wouldn't suffer, that was until it stumbled upon a dark tower with an ominous green glow...

Part 2 over, there's still one last part I need to talk about but I'll let you ingest this first

From the sounds of things, I think this demon is gonna be what evolves into Zero. But what will it find in this mysterious green tower? Let's continue!

As the demon approached the large base, it saw many pipes leading away from the center, millions of strange humanoid creatures made of metal who seemed to be asleep, and a giant metal object that the smaller flying things were assembling. The demon was very perplexed at the site of all these metal things flying about and being constructed into such large creations. It flew up to the highest window in the tower, peering in and discovering a strange bulky creature, glowing green but also covered with metal. The demon sensed that it was in fact a living organism but had only shielded itself in metal for whatever reason and was clearly not native to this planet. The weird alien creature had caught sight of the demon through the window and a loud blaring sound went off. He suddenly found himself being shot at by thousands of bullets made of light, though they didn't do any damage. The monster was enraged when it realized it was being attacked and was about to get his revenge, but it realized that if it killed the only other living thing on the planet, then it would be left alone for the rest of eternity. The demon decided to play along and fought off the flying metal objects and also destroyed parts of it's fort. He sensed the alien's anger and heard as it vowed revenge, knowing he found a new source of entertainment. Things went on like this for a few years, the alien would create new weapons and traps in an attempt to destroy the demon, and the demon would always foil his plans by breaking them. They eventually knew each other by name, Zero and Cryos (the name Zero came from the Cryos who discovered his weakness was being cold, so he chose that name to mock him, unfortunately it went right over Zero's head and he liked the name).

There was one battle that Zero didn't exactly win however, Cryos had finally invented a large mech suit capable of besting Zero. During their fight, a large and dangerous machine was damaged and went off, causing time to stop and the entire area disappeared into a white void. There was a blinding flash of light, Zero awoke in a field of green grass on the outskirts of a city. He was confused at first, but then realized he had somehow traveled through time. He was fully ready to take his revenge on humanity for trapping him, but when he looked upon the skyline and couldn't help but feel a sense of bliss. He had been alone for so long and hadn't seen living vegetation for thousands of years. He quickly realized Cryos wasn't with him and wondered where he had gone, before also noticing a giant robot attacking the city. He didn't give his best performance against the large machine as he was adjusting himself to the gravity of the planet and pressure of saving millions of lives. After a short struggle, Zero was able to best the robot and turn it into scrap metal. He heard cheering coming from the people beneath him but quickly fled to think about everything that had happened. He was very familiar with Cryos' machine design and way of announcing himself, he then began to think about the bad future of the planet he had been released into. He decided he wasn't going to let that be the fate of the Earth and humanity. Zero began to train his body and mind to be the best protector of the planet he could be, dedicating the rest of his live to being a hero and saving humanity from destruction

Nice story overall! Although it's not super clear; is Zero the demon or the alien?

Zero is an alien/deity but calls himself a demon because of his past nature and powers, the alien I was referring to during the last part of the story was Cryos (this guy)

Ah, I see. I like the story of how a malicious being ended up turning into a hero; I'd assume he'd often have to struggle with his past actions during his pursuit to save humanity.

Alright, next question: Who is this "Zera" I keep seeing on your profile?

Zera is just a basic genderswap of Zero, she's not as powerful as Zero but she's a lot more friendly and flirtatious

Her canonicity is a bit confusing even for me... Let's just say that she's living in Zero's dimension and is off doing her own thing, their universe is tied to the friday night funkin' fan universe anyways so i guess it really doesn't matter

Fun fact though, they both have the power to turn into the ultimate, thought Zera can only do it while Zero is dead

So this whole story is essentially an FNF fan story? How does it tie in?

i wouldnt say that, there are just things that have ties to fnf like Zero being in love with Skyblue and also encountering characters from FNF, but that stuff isn't really important to the Zeroverse because it's still it's own thing

What was the nain inspiration for the Zeroverse? What made you want to create this kind of story?

Dragon Ball inspired a lot of my work, also I kinda just wanted some sort of backstory for why Zero is so powerful

How about Zero's design? How did he turn out looking the way he does?

This is a tough one, I made Zero I think back in 2015 and he looked a LOT different back then. He lacked spikes anywhere on his body and a tail, HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A MOUTH. He also wore a different sweater, the black eyes and yellow pupils were still a thing tho. I changed him a lot over the years lmao. In more recent years, his design and powers have taken a lot from Dragon Ball villains. I also tried to make his design easier on the eyes because I wanted him to be able to fit in with Friday Night Funkin' characters. All of his previous designs look atrocious to me, especially the ones pre-fnf

Tell me about it, character design can be a daunting process sometimes, lol.

Last question for now: what are some of Zero's biggest challenges that he has to face while protecting the Earth?

His biggest challenges definitely come in the form of when his powers are taken/restricted or when being exposed to his weakness to the cold. He doesn't give his best performance under those circumstances but he still gets the job done!

Does Cryos play a role in the main story? If so, how?

Cryos is always plotting on how to destroy Zero permanently or destroy the Earth. He's also not afraid to try using Zero or Earth's materials/living organisms as a power source for total galactic conquest. Much like a cartoon villain, he always has new robots and weapons to test his enemy, though they never really work. On rarer occasions he can be a much more deadly threat, mainly when he finds certain ways to take advantage of Zero's weaknesses or unleashes a greater threat that he ends up losing control of, hoping to use it to achieve his goals. (he takes inspiration from Robotnik in that way, a serious threat sometimes but he doesn't stand a chance against Zero in a fight and tinkers with different methods to get what he wants)

So what is the exact grudge that Cryos and Zero hold against each other? Or did the rivalry really just develop naturally from that one fight they had in that tower?
