Well yeah, if that... or if Dogma would actually change the #s based on the actual blam/save totals when he updates them. Which, with 225 people on the list, might be a bit insanely difficult (but personally, I always change rank #s on my list as I update the list, no matter what time of day... after all, even if NG is inaccurate at the time, it doesn't mean my list has to be! #;-}>).

The only other option, which I sometimes take, is to update the list shortly after the early morning rank updates so you're pretty much guaranteed near-perfect accuracy.

Because I knew I was getting home so late today, my "druthers" was simply to get something useful posted. I'm posting 3 times a week, so the minor issues in the 51+ updates for the weekend and Mon/Tues aren't a major bother. If this were the main update from Thursday and I was posting late, I would have taken the time the corrrect the rankings, as that's also the one from which I would end up drawing my latter update's comparisons.

Yep. Odd days. That's the problem. Better to wait till 7 altogether, actually. Just hope that most people being somewhere around the 4 main NA time zones will mean that not much activity will have happened in the past 3 hours.

Rank gains aren't really as important a stat as the average/day. Denvish and Syme have been making miniscule gains up in ranks lately, but get 50-90/day. It's just that they've hit one of those zones (like I'm in now) where it requires a significant amount of BP to even get to the next person, who might also be gaining BPs at a lower, but still moderate, pace. There's areas scattered throughout the ranks that are like that, but it's more noticeable at the upper end of the sergeant levels. It's posted more to give people an idea of who the "up-and-comers" are and try and set up some name recognition.

Side note: Denvish is basically out of that "dead zone" to which I was referring (keyser 4450- violet 4850). I mention that for accuracy, as I just wanted to qualify my above example.

Speaking of which, there would have been a post this morning but (you'll love this) we had a storm pass through last night literally right over my house ala not even a second between cloud-to-cloud lightning and the thunder. I live in a development that's surrounded by commercially zoned land which means that we're basically the only thing not paved flat. In addition to losing power and phone, some nit hit the pole with the primary junction box for all of our neighborhood's cable. Phone was out for 3 hours, power for 5, and (12 hours later) my cable finally works again.

First off, apologies for the delay in today's post. See my above post for the reasons. On the plus side (for you folks anyway), it also means I don't have the 70 BPs I would have by now had I been able to get anything to work. Oh well, enough whining. Right now, I believe I'm in the #48 position on the Top 50 Saviors/Blammers, but the only place I get to see that is on the official Newgrounds list.

Well, that and your profile... and you're higher than #48 on my top 50 protects list, arentcha? Jeez... complain complain, will ya? The only list you're really missin' out on is the voting power list, really. But if you keep on truckin' on the blams and saves, you'll make that one, too.

I don't even go there all that often.

I go there about half a dozen times per day. But then again, I save the top 50 b/p combined 3 times a day (when it actually gets updated 3 times a day, that is).

Oh well, you might be seeing me back on this list in about three weeks. I'm taking a two-week long vacation really soon so if anyone's looking for an opportunity to pass me, you'll get one real soon...

... but you'll still be on the list if you fall past #50... You're confusing me, man. You said you wanted to be "on the list," which I took to mean between #51 and #225ish, but now you're thinking you'll be "off the list"? He posts 1-225 once a week and 51-225 3-4 times a week... you're on the list either way!
