Deltarune. I beat both free chapters and don't see myself going out of my way to buy the future parts. The game doesn't do anything wrong nor is it bad. It's just ok at best to me. It feels highly overrated because the gameplay of it is mostly a walking simulator when not doing the better part of the game aka battles. The story while nice it was forgetable. The battles are easily the most fun part of it.
Call me Scott The Woz because I'm not an RPG guy.
I like Deltarune and Undertale for the stories, but if you're not a story person, it really doesn't jive. If you're not emotionally connected to a video game, it just feels boring and a waste of time. I can see that. I will say the reason why I dislike both games is due to the fanbase and not the game itself. I think that's enough of a reason as well.
If I talk about why I like or don't like a video game I will usually not include the communities. I'm talking about the game not the people playing the game.
Also yeah it does seem like I can't get emotionally connected to stories. I can like stories but a sad thing in a story won't make me sas irl.
That means you have better emotional control than me lmao good for you!

Super Mario Sunshine! I mean, I fucking hate it, but besides the aggravating gameplay the game is really unique and charming compared to the other Mario games, which was already a high bar for the likes of Mario World, Galaxy and Odyssey.
The only thing I know about Sunshine was how funny Game Grumps' episode when they failed the pinball shine mission. That was indeed legit anger. It made me laugh so hard I cried.

I've never played it nor have I heard of it. My experience with JRPGs is limited at best, and the last one I played was a mobile game whose story took me two years to beat. I've completely forgotten every twist...which is why I've near given up on it. Damn gacha mechanics are fucking addictive though. Same goes to games like Cookie Run Kingdom and Kingdom Hearts. Love the gameplay, and I love RPGs, but jesus christ the story's so fucking long JUST FINISH PLEASE. Its like a NYT best selling fantasy series that has like 10 books and is still going even after the point's been made.

The Knuckles and Rogue stages are just trial and error or pure luck and the story takes itself way to seriously. It's like an edgy teenager wrote the script and got a company to revise it. The only good stages are the Shadow and Sonic stages.
I can agree with the Knuckles and Rouge bit. Flaw was even there in the first Sonic Adventure, which I played. The story I don't really have any preference on because I'm not emotionally connected or grew up with it. I had more connections to the classic games, except for 3 and Knuckles which I didn't finish.
edit: If you're wondering why I never finished those two. It was because of FUCKING CARNIVAL ZONE AND SANDOPOLIS ACT 2 WITH THOSE GODDAMN GHOSTS AND THAT STUPID DUMBASS BARREL. I will never forgive SEGA for the curse that is the barrel.

Basically the rules are the same, you try to guess the other's band and you describe yours as bad as you can.
I'll start with what I think should be an easy one!
Four LSD addicted dudes in their mid 20s that look fifty.
My only guess is Limp Bizkit but I know I am absolutely wrong. Here's mine.
My favorite band is a rock band that broke up, and got together again, only to break up and get together again. They're been making music since the 70s and still make music to this day. Their most recent album released a few years ago. If you can't guess them from this, I think I've done my job, but this might be pretty obvious.
My best guess is going to have to be the Eagles? But Kansas was also a close choice.
My favorite band is a bunch of middle aged men that make really lowbrow jokes for 70% of the show and play music for the other 30%, which is usually also those same jokes just with a melody, except when they lock in and write a really sad song.
Nah, those are wrong too. I'm surprised it hasn't been guessed yet. Should I reveal the answer at this point lol

It's not an underrated masterpiece or anything but I still like it. The designs for the levels and cars are a lot of fun to me. Plus most of the special moves you get when you're in last are pretty cool. Like how Shenmue switches to a forklift and big the cat rides a giant froggy.
I loved the mobile version of the game. On another note...I really liked Sonic Forces. That was fun lol. I can't really think of any. Maybe Wappydog for the DS? Even came with a robo dog. I still have both lol
I liked the concept behind sonic forces even if people thought getting to make your oc was cringe. I wish sega would implement more creative stuff like that with other sonic games. It doesn't have to be a create a character specifically but at the very least having unlockable costumes like in Mario Odyssey or DOOM would be sweet. Plus it would give me a reason to actually want to replay and take my time with certain games. I feel like if they tried harder with level design and made a more impactful story it wouldn't have been such a flop.
Thank you for having based taste fellow gamer.
Got inspired by another recent thread. Credit to @Brewzman for their thread. This may have been done already but fuck it. What's a game you personally despise that everyone else seems to like? Doesn't have to be despise actually, it can be dislike, find neutral, not have as much hope/admiration for, etc.
For me, it was unfortunately with Sonic Frontiers. Now before you gasp at me. It is not a bad game. Not at all! I love the free open world and the soundtrack and story a lot. Its moreso my preference for 2D and 3D linear stages rather than open world stuff. I also find that the guides for how to attack and use the powers you're given unnecessarily complicated, even with the practice mode. Perhaps I'm big dumb, but that's just my preference...I do like games with free open world styles, but stuff that is moreso easy to grasp and understand and with simpler controls. Like Monster Hunter Rise and Pokémon Sword/Violet/Legends Arceus. You get what I mean?
For the record, I am not talking about bad games in this thread - just ones you don't prefer and what makes you not like it. Be civil, people!!!
I'd love to see what you think.
