The lamb is dead. The problem of evil is insolvable. I renounce God and all his works.

This reminds me of those fake April Fools live action video game adaptation trailers IGN would pull off back in the day. And from what I've read this one was supposed to be an actual thing. Damn.
I'll say this, copy won't be original.

I thought this would be beyond parody.
Nothing can beat the Hanna-Barbera version.
It looks like something CollegeHumor create as a parody

Yeah! like everyone is saying, this feels more like a parody/fake trailer than an actual one for a real show. I knew this would have been a dumpster of a fire, but this takes it to a whole new level. The two things I hate the most about this is the fact that 1. Mojo Jojo is no longer a genius evil monkey but a regular human which makes him super boring compared to the show and making me wonder/worring what the other vilains would have looked like. And 2. the fact that, in under 4 minutes, they spilled out EVERYTHING you need to know and revealed all the twists this show would have to offer. Defeating the point to even want to watch it.
Ngl given everything else with this trailer i am actually SHOCKED they brought back i think Tom Kenny as the narrator rather than getting like Chris Pratt or some other celebrity this looks so ass bro
Edit: to clarify i mean like "Starred in Blockbuster films or does music" celebrity and not like an actual Voice Actor

^ Pretty much my thoughts on this.
Honestly I don't really care about PPG at all as it was never really even my favorite cartoon to begin with (not to say I thought it sucked but it just never grabbed me) but this reboot looks really bad.
I will say I do actually like the idea of them being adults but the problem is the fact they're using it to turn PPG into another generic bland edgy adult comedy instead of actually making something interesting with the idea. I like edgy comedies like South Park but this is just not it at all.
This was expected from a leaked script premise that we should check our bingo cards.
The change of Mojo Jojo, Where do we start? Should we even start? It is obvious they changed a few names of a recycled script and not much after that. Out of the cast of villains why use the lab ape to fit the role?

That's one good thing come out of this pilot which is Tom Kenny returning as the narrator

That bullshit looks like those fake trailers of a live action of smth famous
No respect for a show that doesn't respect its original iteration!
"This video is not viewable
This video is blocked because it contains copyrighted material from Warner Bros"
Huh??? Don't they own Powerpuff Girls?
“Video unavailable”
Maybe the only time I’m glad a video was taken down because of copyright
This is clearly just another Ragebait show like Velma just don’t bother giving it attention
like you all guys gotta understand that companies do these things just for people to hate watch their shitty ass shows
Has everyone forgotten this show was scrapped a long time ago? And this is just the leaked footage of what it would have happen had it not been cancelled?
You have a greater chance in life of experiencing the lazarus phenomenon (Being declared dead and then living again a short brief period later) than making some earth shattering masterpiece of a work.
I remember the script for this leaked ages ago. It read like ragebait.
Buttercup calling the OG cartoon "whitewashed" is a... spicy writing decision, to say the least. I'm not one of those wieners who feels personally attacked whenever new iteration shits on the original, but goddamn they were really stoking the beehive with that take.
The trailer should've focused on the Gangreen Gang, Him, the RowdyRuff Boys, Sedusa, Princess Morbux... There's a big enough roster of humanoid villains they could've gone with instead. Which asshat thought it'd be a good idea to make Mojo Jojo a human father-son duo but also Mojo dies offscreen...? This thing had to have been crap on purpose in order to be cancelled or turned into a tax writeoff lmao.
Also for what it's worth, if any of the powderpuffs were gonna grow up to be a bitchy neo/armchair feminist I expected it would've been Blossom not Buttercup.
CW's been making dogshit live action teen dramas loosely based on WB properties since Smallville. But does anyone actually watch them or are these execs just funding this slop haphazardly in hopes that one will inexplicably become a hit?
Just watched it and oof... thank goodness this was cancelled, it really does look like a badly made parody, reminds me specifically of those parody videos Smosh or Rackaracka made back in the day.
Making silly illustrations and hoping people enjoy them.
Wait a minute... wasn't this a thing before?
I'm honestly not that surprised considering like... what... Velma already did it, just what's the point of CW's reboot of PPG? Just to be in live action?
I mean, I don't get why Buttercup and the Professor had to be black because it's more of a easy pot shot for how problematic-wait a minute, DRAKE Utonium? What the asinine fuck? Is that why it got canned??
But back to my point, I don't see why was this needed as a series. It's more or less like the original PPG movie but this time, instead of fighting Jojo so the girls can fix their bad reputation in the city of Townsville, they... have to fight their younger, problematic clones. I don't care as is, but it would be surprising if it turned out to be GOOD. I mean, Utonium being black isn't surprising, but it's funny considering Samurai Jack is voiced by a black guy, and people had said that Utonium and Jack look exactly alike, so I assumed this was because of that? To be fair, I didn't watch Samurai Jack at the time so I have no idea if this is the case of both being the same person or it isn't. I don't understand why was it necessary to make Jojo be human instead of a monkey since... what's the point? Would it change anything if you made Mojo a monkey? Beating a monkey would give the girls a bad rep either way, so I don't get why it was needed to turn Mojo and Jojo humans instead of monkeys. Literally Powerpuff Girls Z exist and yet it still kept Jojo as a monkey anyway. Maybe it's a production issue? But given PPG as of now, there's no reason to be invested in CW's PPG. The reboot exists and you tell me why I'm not really interested in it.

not me!
...oh yeah the PPG reboot was A Thing(tm).
I had repressed that like most of my high school memories a while ago.
Mistakes were made
And this is the worst one so far
FUCK IT'S VELMA ALL OVER AGAIN!
At least this was scrapped.
Good thing this disaster never got greenlit at all. This is a piece of lost media that should've stayed lost
Don't forget to brush your hands and wash your teeth!

See, this is where the thing failed so badly even WB knew it was DOA.
